Helping disabled people and poor families in becoming self-reliant.
In Malaysia, disabled persons often live on the margins of society which causes them to face mental pressure until they find it hard to become self reliant. As we know, the growth of a seedling is affected by the environmental factors, and today’s culture of society will also have a big impact on a person. Especially for disabled people with low income, self-reliance is even harder for them.
The disabled person should be understood, respected, cared for and helped. They should have equal chances to take part in family, education, work, housing, political group, to use public utilities, to seek economic autonomy and others. They should be given the equal chance to take part in society.
WHO WE ARE ?
Persatuan Pembangunan Jayadiri Selangor was established on 20th February 2019. It is a non-profit organization located at Lembah Maju, Ampang. Our mission is to give helping hands to disabled people and poor families by giving them opportunities to become self-reliant.
WHAT WE DO ?
Tuition class for primary and secondary schools’ students
We offer a comfortable tuition class environment in Ampang to help children from low-income families to solve their difficulties in study and to strengthen their abilities to face examinations.
Project Do Good: Helping the poor during MCO 2.0
We aim to assist as many individuals and families this MCO 2.0 covering from basic daily needs. This initiative is to support our community and empower them during difficult times and pandemic strikes like these.
Recycling Project
We collect old newspapers, unused plastic bottles, aluminium tins, glass bottles, stainless steel kitchen tools, electric appliances and devices (old laptops) and old clothes. The recycling profit will be used to support daily expenses of our centre, while the remaining will be donated for charity.
Old folks home visits
We visit old folks home, orphanages and handicap centres regularly to donate daily necessities or give monetary. For example, we visit Pahang Triang Old Folks Home and have given two wheelchairs to two old elders.
Festive celebrations
We do fun activities and have organized mid-autumn festival celebration, charity dinners and many more. These events not only help provide a chance for the members to celebrate the festive season together, at the same time raise funds for the expenses of our organization.
Camp / Trip
We organize camps and one-day trips, such as Tanjung Sepat one-day trip and 3D2N camp in Penang to delight members with different experience.
🔊 Due to the extended MCO, the Covid-19 pandemic has negatively impact many families especially low-income urban families and to those people who are in need. 🙏🏻 However, we, as Persatuan Pembangunan Jayadiri Selangor 🌟, are dedicated to extend a helping hand to people who are in need by organizing “ July Charity & Donation “ on July, which we would be distributing herbal soup packs to low-income families & disadvantage groups. ❤️
✨ The food aid set that we are giving out is RM1️⃣0️⃣8️⃣/set and it consists of 3 packs of healthy herbal soups, maggie ayam, maggie curry, 2x sardines, 1kg milo, flour, sugar, salt, Red Eagle Cooking Oil 1kg and etc. ✨ Behind every contribution and food aid sent out, there is a family story to be told and lives to be valued. Together we can make a difference at a time of need. ❤️
As a human being, we are all connected.
